Ruth is a Technical Director at Mott MacDonald where she leads specialist engineering on major construction projects worldwide.  She is a subject matter expert in human thermal comfort, wind engineering and climate aware design, an experienced user of computational modelling along with physical wind tunnel testing methods.   Ruth continually questions how to design buildings which are sustainable and resilient to a changing climate.

Ruth has wide ranging industry experience including healthcare facilities, aviation and transit buildings, high rise commercial towers, arts venues, masterplans, and sporting stadia.   She has a degree in Engineering Design from the University of Bristol, she is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow and Charity Trustee of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
