Netza Jack

Head of Building Performance and Environment, Man Group

Netza Jack is a Warwick Business School Alumni, and Head of Building Performance and Environment at Man Group plc. With over 29 years industry experience within the Building Services & FM Industry, Netza has worked within the full spectrum of FM and Property Management on the Client-side, Service Providers, Managing Agents, Consultancy.

Netza has also worked for a wide range of recognized companies such as British Land, Tishman Speyer and The FA, implementing new technologies such as building metering and battery storage technology, green initiatives and strategies for building optimisation and carbon reporting. He is also a previous winner of the CIBSE Building Performance Awards, recognised for Building Operation.

His role at Man Group focuses on providing strategic leadership as well as the operational performance management of Engineering (and other related services), ensuring that the day-to-day operation is delivered to a high standard with efficient and smart performance that aligns with Man’s net Zero Carbon strategy (incl. SDGs) across Man's Global Offices.

With the overall aim or reducing Man’s carbon footprint, he is responsible for driving Man Group’s ‘strategic pathway to net zero carbon’ and ensuring good environmental practices are followed across Man’s global portfolio. He also leads on the GHG emissions data gathering and analysis (Scope 1, 2 & 3) for disclosure in Man’s Annual Global Operational Emissions performance and providing narrative for publication in the Annual Report and evaluating risks and opportunities of increasing Man's ESG ratings.

Netza is currently in the process of implementing a data-led predictive maintenance (DLM) system at Man’s Head Office in London. Although this technology and its methods are at an infancy stage, Netza is currently leading on its delivery, and has identified that the Building Services industry would require trained/ tech-savvy staff with the right insight to manage and operate these new systems. With in the assistance of a tech start-up, he has also introduced an AI-powered platform (Emizio) to Man Group, which delivers a seamless automated process for GHG accounting, hence coming away from the traditional manual data collection.

Netza holds a BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering (London South Bank University), MSc Renewable Energy & Energy Management (University of Ulster), and Executive MBA (Warwick Business School). Netza is also a Chartered Engineer under UK Engineering Council, and a Certified Member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM).
