CABE & CIBSE join forces to discuss key challenges for industry professionals

The Building Safety Act (2022) is ‘the biggest shake-up of the system of building regulation since World War 2’, and the video aims to provide valuable insights and practical solutions, creating an engaging hour-long continuing professional development (CPD) resource. Furthermore, it promises inspiring content for the professional looking to navigate the complexities of the field of work.

This isn’t the only CABE-CIBSE collaboration for 2023, as coming up in December, CABE’s NEW Built Environment LIVE and CIBSE’s Build2Perform co-locate together at London’s ExCeL in December 2023 to create “Building Performance Week.”

CABE is proud to partner with CIBSE to bring the all-new ‘Built Environment LIVE’ to their long-standing ‘Build2Perform LIVE’ exhibition, at ExCeL London from 5-6 December 2023.

2023 is the maiden year for Built Environment LIVE – an unmissable FREE two-day live technical symposium and exhibition, featuring key leadership speakers from across building safety, building regulatory and specialist professions.

This groundbreaking event combines construction specialists and budding talent alongside a technical trade exhibition, exploring the most pressing and wide-reaching challenges, aiming to enlighten construction professionals to the opportunities within the broad spectrum of our industry.

Richard Harral, CABE Technical Director said; “Bringing communities together into a space where they can start to have those cross-pollinating discussions, and share learning and experience, makes this a natural way to enable the collaboration we need in our industry. The video is a valuable piece from a CPD-perspective; it offers insights into changes across the industry, and provides a unique opportunity to stay ahead of the curve, and aid in your learning and success.”

Dr. Hywel Davies, CIBSE Chief Technical Officer said; “It’s difficult to champion collaborative working if we don’t work collaboratively as professional bodies. We can achieve a lot more running our event at ExCeL together than each of us doing our own thing. This is evolving, and we need to keep on working together to make our members aware of what it is that’s happening in the industry.”
